Colorblock Rock

Time to rock out, with your....COLORBLOCK out! What were you expecting me to say? So a few months back, I picked up this totally rad colorblocked and mo-hairy sleeveless sweater. I couldn't wait to slip this perfect little number on & I immediately envisioned it with a pair of sleek pants. Well, what do ya know.. I had the perfect pair of pants just waiting to be taken out for a spin.

Top: French Connection Pants: Sandro Shoes: Brian Atwood Bracelets: Bijoux Bracelets
Ok, how amazing are these shoes? I was instantly drawn to the rich, wine color because it was something I didn't own (yet) but subsequently fell in love with the material mixing, they're leather and suede, and the cutout sides! OB-SESSED (haha @ SHIT FASHION GIRLS SAY).
Sometimes, the simplest of outfits turn out the best. Oh hey, here I am, just casually trying not to bust my ass as I walk over a cobblestone road, no big.
Bon Weekend, friends!

Twisty with a Side of Furball

Twisty, furball, what? If you're questioning my post title, which I am sure many are, allow me to introduce you to this skirt (and then the furball)...
Skirt: Rachel Rachel Roy Blouse: ASOS Fur: Joie Boots: Louboutin Bracelets: Bijoux Sunnies: Celine Tights: Wolford
Come on baby, this skirt makes me wanna do the TWIST!
While I'm introducing, allow me to introduce my newest photographer, my bestie Rouls! (Sorry Mom, I know you're out of job but I still love you!) She's pretty rad, huh?

There are far too many things to name at once that I love about this outfit... but let me try. First, the pale blue color of this giant furball of a vest and the sheer volume of it just drives me wild! Next and obviously, the rad-ness of my skirt, hello! Pleated at the bottom, an adorable knit print on the top (very Southwest Americana), perfect for twisting and twirling and dressing up or down. Let's also talk the patchwork denim look of the blouse...sure it looks quite similar to the Isabel Marant version, but it has its differences, I swear! So many different textures in this outfit, yet it all mish moshes perfectly together in the end.
See Ya!

Well Lookee Here...

Hi! It's me .. remember me?! I've missed you friends, and I know you've missed me. How do I know, you ask? Well, I have received some really super crazy rad emails from readers asking WHERE THE HELL DID YA GO?! Okay, not exactly like that, but kind of..sort of..a little bit. While it's pretty obvi that I am having a hard time keeping up with my blog with my Bijoux business blowing up (holiday season, baby) and my real life job, I haven't forgotten; I have a special place in my wee little heart for my blog and for my readers. I wouldn't leave ya guys high and dry...really I wouldn't.
So here's a quick lil ole' outfit post featuring some really dope leather pants I just picked up. Before we get to that, a quick apology in advance for the el crapo iPhone pics - my camera broke (insert tears here). iPhone pics are better than nothing, right? RIGHT?! Right.

Fur vest: Zara Top: J.Crew Leather pants: Vena Cava Boots: Rag & Bone Bracelets: Bijoux
Weeeeeeeeeeee!
What is it about smooth as butta (as in butter) leather pants that make any outfit THAT MUCH MORE bad ass? Honestly, I'm not too sure myself, but I sure as hell feel rad when I slip those bad boys on. Not to mention the sweet zippers on the side for when I want to give them a bit of a flared look. What say you, sweet readers?
Well I'm off to fill orders upon orders and get ready for some amaze-balls Bijoux events coming up. I'll post some pics so you all can see the awesomeness.

Blacked Out

What is it about all black that makes an outfit look so damn chic and pulled together? Oh, I know, ME! I make the outfit look terribly chic and pulled together. Ok, ok, there I go again - I'm such a jokester. But, seriously, come winter and you will find me 95% of the time in black, black and NEON! You gotta have some neon in your winter wardrobe guys, get with it.
Not to excite you though, no neon in this post, well okay, some neon is shown with my rad arm candy..but back to the post title! I was blacked out on Monday, baby. I was so blacked out I couldn't even remember how I got home. Kidding, was that funny? I'm not so sure myself.

Vest: Rag & Bone Leather Jacket: Banana Republic Turtleneck: Club Monaco Skirt: Zara Leather leggings: Barneys New York Shoes: KORS Michael Kors Scarf: Yarnz Bracelets: Bijoux
While you can't see it in this pic because my ginorm (as in ginormous) scarf is covering it, I took a cue from Celine F'12 and donned a turtleneck. Yes, turtlenecks ARE cool and they're even cooler if they accentuate and highlight your double chin. See photos below.
BOO! Did me and my vest scare you? Because I'm pretty sure I creeped out a few kids (and probably my boyfriend) in this spooky Halloween outfit. Fashion, costumes, they practically go hand in hand.
You can't tell from these wonderous photos, but I was actually wearing a skirt over those pants. For all you trend watchers out there, skirts over pants, skirts over pants...GO FOR THE GOLD. It'll be a real winner, just sit back and watch. Anyway, it looked totally rad, I'll have to do another post highlighting this for all my sweet readers.

Hello, Lovah

And no, I'm not saying hello to you (although I do love you all so very much) I'm talking about my fabulous new pair of shoes, duh. Remember wayyyyy back when, when I told you all that I just adore gloating over a fabulous deal, well here I go again. I've been on the hunt for those to-die-for Theyskens' Theory pointy toe wedge pumps AND I finally got me a pair on Gilt for...wait for it...wait for it...$200! Haha, what do you say to that? Pays off to wait, huh. Okay, okay on to the shoes...
Cape: Zara Blouse: Equipment Pants: Topshop Shoes: Theyskens' Theory Bracelet: Bijoux
Are you in love, come on I know you are. Let me just explain very quickly why I had to have these bad-ass pieces of foot candy. Simplicity. There, that's my explanation. Simple enough to be dressed down with a pair of jeans and a rad flannel shirt or dressed up with a super chic dress for a night out! What more could I ask for (nothing!)

Long Overdue...

This post is so long overdue...oh, Style Sidewalk how I've missed you! And I'm so sure, how you've all missed MOI! No need for me to explain for the zillionth time about how busy I have been between being a real person in the working world and keeping up with Bijoux. So, I won't explain, but I kind of did. Oops.
Moving on, my love of leopard continues in today's post (what's new), but today it is in the form of a super rad pencil skirt. Pencil skirt, that's so BORING, say YOU, but allow me to prove YOU wrong. Pair said pencil skirt with a ridiculously holy holey t-shirt and some Frankenstein boots, as my dear old Daddy calls them, and voila, boring no more.
Tee: See by Chloe Skirt: J.Crew Shoes: Sam Edelman Cuff: Dannijo
While I wouldn't exactly equate these wanna-be, but albeit, bad ass knock off Balenciaga Sam Edelman's to Frankenstein boots, they do make me abnormally tall. Amazon tall, if you will. Just ask my boyfriend, he'll vouch for me, especially considering I received the coveted "face of disgust" from him once he saw me. SCORE!
Not too shabby, huh? I clean up well... Well, I clean up well in the morning, by the time I get home I usually look like this... Sue me!
I'll keep it short and sweet today - I'm off to set up for Bijoux's first partay tomorrow!

Work Week Warrior

Yes, that's me. Your very own work week warrior - go me, for making it out of my first week alive! Okay, I'm exaggerating I'm actually in L-O-V-E with my place of work and I couldn't be happier. So there (I'm sticking out my tongue), to all you negative Nancys out there who loathe working. I know I kinda, sorta promised a photo journal of my work outfits but it has been crazy busy so today I am presenting my Thursday outfit. Better late than never, right? RIGHT?
Tee: Vince Pants: Zara Shoes: Zara Necklace: Aqua
I'm obsessed with these shoes. Snakeskin down the back and to the heel, suede around the bottom, nude/beige patent leather at the top and they are topped off with adorable leather tassels. Oh, did I mention that they're cut out on the side as well? Pret-ty rad - run, DO NOT WALK, to go pick up these shoes are your closest Zara OR get them online. You're welcome.
BraceletsBijoux Bracelets
Okay, I need to talk about the newest Bijoux arm candy. Aside from that bad ass teal green color of the bead, the neon beads were handcrafted and painted AND imported from Thailand. SO. AWESOME. Throw some skulls into the mix and some crystal blingy bling and you're good to go.
Off to planning my work wardrobe for this week - I promise I'll be better.
